The Traxxas Slash 4×4 is built to move fast. Unfortunately, that also means it can hit things fast. Our three-piece Front Bumper gives your Slash the protection it needs when the inevitable happens, without forcing you to carry extra weight when you’re chasing lap times.
The modular design lets you configure the front end for the way you’re driving. Install all three pieces for maximum protection when you’re headed out to bash. For racing, remove the bumper and run the skid plate mount and skid plate as a lighter alternative, shedding 27 grams (almost a full ounce) from the front end. Then, when it’s time to trade the track for the backyard, simply bolt the bumper back on and your Slash is ready for another round of abuse.
But the real difference is what happens when you hit something.
We eliminated the stock bumper support ring and the four screws behind the bumper. That does more than clean up the design. It helps keep frontal impact forces from transferring into the upper half of the differential housing. We also provide longer bumper mounting screws to improve the connection through the lower portion of the housing, reducing the tendency for hard impacts to pull the mounting screws out.
The result is a front bumper designed to absorb and redirect impact energy instead of passing it straight into your drivetrain.
To handle the punishment, we built the skid plate thicker than stock and gave it a wide skid rail design that matches our other Slash skid plates. The entire assembly delivers significantly more substantial protection while keeping weight under control.
And because we’re RPM, we didn’t stop at making it tougher. We back it with our limited lifetime breakage warranty.
