Electric versions of the Rustler, Stampede, Bandit, and Slash 2wd introduced new challenges for gear cover clearance. RPM has engineered a better solution. We redesigned our molded gear cover to eliminate interference issues found with XL-5 and VXL-equipped vehicles, ensuring a perfect fit across all electric versions of these popular trucks.
RPM expanded the gear cover around the motor shaft to accommodate longer motor shafts. We also reshaped key perimeter areas to clear the rear bumper and wheelie bar mount. The result is a clean, bolt-on gear cover that fits where others fall short.
RPM didn’t stop at fitment. We designed this gear cover to outperform stock in every way that matters.
An oversized access hole and flexible plug provide quick access to the slipper clutch nut while maintaining a tight seal around the gears. The plug stays securely in place, yet removes easily when adjustments are needed. Unlike stock gear covers, RPM’s design completely seals the gear case, blocking dirt, rocks, and debris that destroy spur and pinion gears.
Sleek contours give your truck a clean, finished look, while increased internal clearance allows the use of larger pinion gears for higher top speeds. Best of all, RPM Gear Covers retain all stock geometry, so installation requires no cutting, trimming, or gluing.
