Stop worrying about broken skid plates and chassis with RPM Rear Skid Plates for the Traxxas Slash 2wd. Stock skid plates can fail, ripping out rear shock tower screws and sending your rear end flying. RPM’s redesigned skid plates eliminate that risk.
Our skid plates use three chassis mounting points instead of two The third mounting point triangulates the mounts to spread impact energy across a larger area, no drilling required. We replaced the stock cross-tube design with a solid flat skid featuring smooth, large-radius transitions. These smoother transitions allow your truck to slide over obstacles instead of catching on them.
We added thick skid rails on the front and rear of each plate to reduce friction, improve durability, and protect critical components like the lower transmission screw and rear bumper mount. Tech Notes: Stock rear bumper mounts (Traxxas #3677) will not work with RPM skid plates. To retain the use of a rear bumper or wheelie bar, RPM #80902 or #80905 must be used. RPM skid plates are designed for and only guaranteed to fit a stock Traxxas Slash chassis and chassis components.
