The RPM ESC Cage for Castle Sidewinder 3 and Sidewinder SCT ESCs drops directly into the stock ESC location. vehicles it fits include the Traxxas Slash 2wd, Slash 2wd LCG, Slash 4×4, Slash 4×4 LCG, Stampede 4×4, and Rally platforms. It also fits several other Traxxas 1/10-scale vehicles (see Tech Notes below).
RPM designed this cage to protect your ESC without compromising cooling. The cage supports ESC operation with or without a fan. It surrounds only the ESC body, leaving the fan completely exposed for unrestricted airflow. Integrated side air channels promote airflow along the ESC case, helping reduce heat buildup during hard running.
Installation and maintenance couldn’t be easier. Two screws secure the entire assembly to the chassis, no double-sided tape required. That means no mess, no frustration, and no wasted time when cleaning your vehicle or transferring electronics. You can move the entire ESC assembly from one vehicle to another in about a minute.
RPM also includes a fully enclosed on/off switch mount that bolts directly to the cage. Four mounting positions and orientations provide excellent versatility. Since the switch attaches to the cage itself, it stays put during maintenance or vehicle swaps. Prefer a custom location? Simply drill and tap two 2mm holes and mount it wherever you want.

Tech Notes: The RPM ESC Cage for the Sidewinder 3 & Sidewinder SCT series ESCs works with Castle Sidewinder #010-0115-00, # 010-0115-01, # 010-0115-02, # 010-0115-03, # 010-0115-04 & # 010-0123-00. While our ESC Cage will fit a variety of applications, they have been tested and guaranteed to fit the following Traxxas vehicles in stock form only – Stampede 4×4, Slash 4×4, Slash 4×4 LCG, Slash 2wd, Slash 2wd LCG, Rally, Stampede VXL 2wd, Rustler VXL & Bandit VXL. Also fits the following vehicles as long as Traxxas #3725 Mounting Plate is used – Rustler XL-5, Stampede XL-5 2wd, Craniac, Skully & Bandit XL-5.
