Description
RPM engineers examined a brand-new Traxxas Rustler 4×4. They discovered the same issue previously seen on the Revo 2.0. Cracks form at the body mounting screw holes. This truck had never been run, yet the mounting holes already showed signs of weakness. Have you’ve ever pulled a body mounting screw through the body? Does it look like it’s about to happen? We have the perfect solution to eliminate bulky body washers and help you avoid replacing a body that can cost up to $60.
RPM Body Savers for the Rustler 4×4 offer a simple yet clever fix. Our Body Savers disguise themselves with scale-inspired details. Details such as molded hood vents at the front and exposed roll cage sections at the rear. These details effectively hide the reinforcement while keeping the body securely mounted.
The system works in a straightforward and effective way. Two pairs of screws attach the body mounting sub-frame to the body at both the front and rear of the truck. RPM Body Savers connect each pair of screws, spreading the clamping load over a much wider area of the body. This design significantly reduces stress at the mounting holes and keeps the body secure—even if previous crashes have completely torn out the bottoms of those holes.
RPM molds Body Savers in black using ultra-strong, engineering-grade nylon for maximum durability and long-term performance. Each kit includes four Body Savers—two for the front and two for the rear—to protect all critical body mounting locations.
Tech Notes: RPM Body Savers only work with Traxxas #6717, #6717G & #6717R bodies. They have not been tested nor are they guaranteed to work with any other Traxxas or aftermarket bodies.
