Description

RPM designed these rear A-arms specifically for the Traxxas Slash 2WD. Unlike the stock arms, RPM did not design them as multi-platform components.

RPM faced one primary challenge during development: building rear A-arms strong enough to handle serious abuse. We increased material around the inner and outer hinge pins by an incredible 64%. The design team then removed all unnecessary holes and unused shock mounts required for other vehicles, but not for the Slash. This focused design reduced overall weight while improving crash resistance. Even with the added strength, RPM rear A-arms weigh 10% less than the original arms!

RPM also focused on fit and finish. The final design removes most of the slop from the rear suspension system. Slash owners can tighten the rear end even further by installing RPM #80382 Rear Bearing Carriers, sold separately. RPM Slash rear A-arms retain stock suspension geometry and include stock rear toe angles.

Our Slash 2WD rear A-arms deliver more strength, durability, and rigidity than stock arms. The reduced flex makes them an excellent upgrade for race-level Slashes on the track. The revised geometry also eliminates pockets where dirt and rocks collect. This design lowers the chance of debris becoming trapped between the axle and the A-arm.

RPM sells Slash 2WD rear A-arms in pairs. RPM molds them from a nearly indestructible blend of nylons. They are available in black, blue, green, and red. RPM backs these A-arms with a limited lifetime warranty against breakage for confidence-inspiring durability and performance.

Tech Notes: Replaces stock Traxxas #2555X. Stock rear axle carriers include upper and lower hinge pin holes. RPM Slash 2WD rear A-arms only support the original lower hinge pin location. RPM does not allow use of the upper axle carrier hole, as it lowers rear ride height excessively. To lower the rear of the truck, RPM recommends using the outer shock mount hole positions in the A-arm. These A-arms do not fit the Nitro Slash.
