Protect your motor before the next rear-end collision with the RPM Rear Motor Protector. Many Traxxas 2WD electric vehicles leave the motor and end bell exposed to impacts. This simple bolt-on accessory creates a tough barrier that absorbs abuse before it reaches your motor. It installs on RPM Rear Bumper/Wheelie Bar Mounts (#80902 or #80905) or the stock Traxxas #3677 mount.
Unlimited-class Slash owners and anyone removing the stock rear bumper to save weight can protect the back of the motor without adding unnecessary bulk. For the ultimate defense, install a second protector on the opposite side. The second Motor Protector shields the gears and gear cover from severe rear impacts.

Tech Notes: Images show both the motor protector and transmission mount (sold separately). To use the RPM Motor Protector in conjunction with a Slash 2wd rear bumper or Traxxas wheelie bar, please see “Tips” below. The Motor Protector must be used in place of either the bumper or wheelie bar. A Traxxas rear bumper mount / wheelie bar mount (Traxxas #3677) or an RPM rear bumper / wheelie bar mount (RPM #80902 or #80905 – not included) must be installed prior to installing the RPM Motor Protector.
Tips: Thanks to RPM customer Reed S. for this tip on using our Motor Protector with a stock Slash 2wd rear bumper. Use the spacers shown in the photo of the parts tree above. Slip the spacers in place of the stock shoulder screws that attach the stock bumper to the mount. Afterwards, use 2 – M3 x 20mm Cap Screws (not included) in place of the the RPM mounting screws that come supplied with the RPM Motor Protector.
