The Traxxas X-Maxx hits hard, and stock A-arms simply can’t keep up. As soon as Traxxas released the X-Maxx, RPM customers demanded stronger arms built to handle the size, weight, and punishment these monsters deliver. Our engineers studied real-world failures, analyzed damaged stock arms, and tore down brand-new sets to pinpoint every weak spot.
The result is the strongest, lightest X-Maxx A-arms available.
We built the upper A-arms using proven RPM designs from past high-impact platforms to deliver serious strength where it matters most. For the lower A-arms, we improved ground clearance and used a cross-section inspired by our battle-tested 1:5-scale HPI Baja arms. That design brings big-scale toughness to the X-Maxx.
A new double support beam in the lower arms spreads impact energy across a wider area, reducing stress and preventing breakage during brutal landings and crashes. Hit something hard? Keep driving. We mold our X-Maxx A-arms from our trademark blend of ultra-tough, engineering-grade nylons and proudly manufacture them in the USA. We back every set with our industry-leading limited lifetime warranty against breakage, so you can bash harder with total confidence.
Tech Notes: Each package comes with one upper and one lower A-arm. This kit replaces the upper a-arm from stock Traxxas #7729 and replaces the lower a-arm from stock Traxxas #7730 & #7731. Four packages will be needed to complete one full vehicle.
Tip: For most users, any additional parts won’t be necessary. For heavy use, big jumps or extreme power, RPM recommends replacing the lower A-arm hinge pins with RPM #70510 Threaded Hinge Pins (sold separately).
