Protect your motor from rear-end impacts with the RPM Rear Motor Protector! Many Traxxas electric vehicles leave the motor dangerously exposed. This simple add-on blocks most collisions. It works with RPM rear bumper/wheelie bar mounts (#80902 or #80905) or the stock Traxxas #3677 mount.
Slash owners running unlimited class or removing stock bumpers for weight savings can install the RPM Motor Protector to shield the motor and end bell from damage. For maximum protection, mount a second protector on the opposite side to guard gears and the gear cover from extreme impacts.
The RPM Motor Protector is compatible with the Traxxas Bandit, e-Stampede, e-Rustler, Slash, and many legacy models. The Motor Protector is molded from ultra-durable engineering-grade nylon and backed by RPM’s limited lifetime warranty. Keep your rear end, and motor, safe no matter how hard you bash.
Tech Notes: Images show both the motor protector and transmission mount (sold separately). To use the RPM Motor Protector in conjunction with a Slash 2wd rear bumper or Traxxas wheelie bar, please see “Tips” below. The Motor Protectpr must be used in place of either the bumper or wheelie bar. A Traxxas rear bumper mount / wheelie bar mount (Traxxas #3677) or an RPM rear bumper / wheelie bar mount (RPM #80902 or #80905 – not included) must be installed prior to installing the RPM Motor Protector.
Tips: Thanks to RPM customer Reed S. for this tip on how to use our Motor Protector in conjunction with a stock Slash 2wd rear bumper. Using the spacers shown in the photo of the parts tree above, slip the spacers in place of the stock shoulder crews that attach the stock bumper to the mount, then use 2 – M3 x 20mm Cap Screws (not included) in place of the the RPM mounting screws that come supplied with the RPM Motor Protector.
