The HPI Savage Flux is an incredibly powerful and durable truck with a critical protection flaw. There isn’t any protection for the fragile transmission and lower edge of the chassis plates. We solved this issue on the Savage and Savage-X with a design unique to RPM products and now a similar design is used to solve this same problem on the Savage Flux.

The RPM Skid Plate for the HPI Savage Flux has been precisely molded to follow the curves of the stock chassis plates, while adding unmatched durability to the entire drive line and transmission of the truck, leaving nothing exposed to potential road hazards, rocks or debris. The smooth, grooved surface of our skid plate also provides a low-friction skid surface for those times when a slide across the belly is unavoidable. RPM nylons are extremely durable, lightweight and wear resistant for long-lasting performance unmatched by anything else on the market.

Our distinctive design sits perfectly centered between the stock front and rear skid plates, without any vulnerable high spots, meaning transitions from the front to center to rear skid plate are snag-proof, lacking overlaps that can cause an object to catch and damage the underbelly of the truck. The mounting screws are recessed below the surface of the skid plate as well, providing protection to the screws and eliminating yet another potential snag point.

RPM skid plates are packaged with all necessary mounting parts, screws (heat-treated, flathead hex screws) and instructions. RPM Savage Flux skid plates are also backed by our industry-leading breakage warranty.

Narrow Roof Mounted Light Bar Set
Our first roof-mounted light bar sets (#80922, #80923 & #80925) worked on all 1/8th and 1/10th scale Short Course bodies, leaving a huge gap in who could run lights on their vehicles. The RPM Narrow Roof-Mounted Light Bar Set cuts a full 2” off of the width, reducing the number of LED light canisters to four and allows virtually anyone running a vehicle with a minimum 4” body width to run LED lights on their vehicle. The goal of our Narrow Roof-Mounted Light Bar Set was to recreate a scale version of those light bars found in full-sized racing while striving for some reasonable amount of crash-survivability. Our Light Bar Set uses a unique hinged system that in the event of a rollover, the light bar will fold against the body to help reduce impact damage. The light set is designed to bolt to the front windshield of the truck (although with sufficient room, it can be mounted to the rear window as well), keeping the profile low and in the perfect position to light up the night. Each kit comes with a pair of large backing plates that help protect the body where the screws hold the light bar in place.

Each kit comes complete with all necessary mounting hardware, light canisters, molded parts and instructions. The instructions also show how to easily create your own LED light set-up with a few basic electronics skills, some tools and a little patience.

We mold these light bar sets in black and chrome to match or contrast any paint and color scheme.

Our unique mounting system for our center skid plate mounts the RPM center skid without overlapping the stock front or rear skid plates; meaning no low-hanging lip to catch on rocks or anything else you might run over. By keeping the skid plate off of the transmission, impacts to the underside of the truck have a significantly reduced chance of damaging the expensive and hard to get to transmission. Savage, Savage-X, Savage-XL & Savage Flux
Upper & Lower A-arms

One of the main problems we found with stock suspension arms on these trucks is they have excess clearance built into them, making critical settings such as camber, caster & toe angles nearly impossible to lock down. RPM Savage, Savage-X, Savage-XL & Savage Flux A-arms have been engineered to strict tolerances and in some areas, we’ve eliminated as much as 0.051” (or in excess of 3/64”) of slop in the suspension system and completely eliminated the need for shim kits! These tighter-tolerance A-arms allow critical suspension settings to remain long after they’ve been set. Furthermore, our A-arms are still silky smooth throughout the entire range of suspension travel.

Our A-arms are sold in sets, including one lower and two upper A-arms. We supply two upper A-arms to giving the end-user the option of a stock, zero-degree camber angle in a fixed length A-arm, or a negative two-degree camber angle A-arm. Using fixed length upper A-arms instead of adjustable camber A-arms, we keep the weight of our upper A-arms to a minimum while providing the maximum amount of durability you’ve come to expect from RPM parts!

For all those racers looking to shed some weight, we have you covered! Our A-arms weigh in less than stock Savage A-arms due to our low profile designs. The low profile combined with the beveled leading and trailing edges of the A-arms prevents them from hanging as low as the stock versions and allows the A-arms to ride up and over obstacles versus slamming into them.

RPM offers these A-arms in three color choices - our most popular black & blue, as well as a purple that matches perfectly with HPI stock purples found on the rest of the Savage line of trucks.

Quick Adjust Spring Clips

Accuracy is the key to a proper suspension setup. With RPM’s clips, accuracy becomes as close to perfect as you can get! This set includes a full set (4 ea.) of four different thickness clips that snap around the shock body. With this set, you can set your shock collars once, and never touch them again! In addition, our spring clips are available in four colors, black, blue, yellow, & purple to match or contrast any paint or chassis color scheme!
